The Lord God took the man and put him in the garden of Eden to work it and keep it.”    Genesis 2:15

Work is a first class calling. We are special to God and He has a special calling for each one of us.

The work He has for us is important to Him – it’s valuable, it’s special, it’s significant.

God will teach us and guide us in our work and ultimately, we work for God not our earthly boss.(Isaiah 28:23-29)

All of the resources of heaven are available to us to fulfill God’s plan for our life. We need to appropriate these resources by faith for our calling to work.
Take a look at the story under Pages on the right, “Story of how God provided new premises for Care & Share”.

God is looking for those who will hear the call of God, rise up in faith , move in the power of the Holy Spirit and see His presence and power manifest in the marketplace.

The Lord will hold us responsible for all we do and do not do. The only strategy is to hear and to obey.
“When we listen HE the Lord speaks. When we obey HE the Lord acts.

Remember there will be work in the paradise of the future just as there was in the paradise past (Garden of Eden) because God himself takes joy in His work.

Our task is to mobilize and equip Kingdom entreprenurs, executives, government leaders into the purposeful, strategic, global Kingdom initiatives underway in our day.
Central to this is the understanding that there is a Kingdom of God and there is a Kingdom of Darkness. We need to fully operate in the knowledge that “we battle with the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places” Ephesians 6:12. We have the victory if we put on the full armour of God and stand firm. Faith is a fight – “Fight the good fight of faith” 1 Timothy 6:12.
Jesus said we need to pray that His Kingdom come and His will be done on earth as it is in Heaven. This requires total obedience to God’s purposes and principles in the operation and decision making process of our business activities. God’s power is then released into our lives and circumstances.
Organisations such as the International Christian Chamber of Commerce play an important role in developing an interactive network of mature dedicated , Christian business, educational and government leaders capable of impacting the marketplace for God.
Understanding the times is central to the development of effective and anticipatory Kingdom responses to todays constantly changing conditions in the marketplace. Major paradigm shifts are currently underway, involving nations, markets, economies, ethnic groups , resources and global relationships.
We believe it is a time of unusual strategic alliances between the Lord’s chosen in the marketplace, and a group of uniquely chosen persons of the world; much like Pharaoh in the time of Joseph or King Cyrus during the time of Babylonian captivity. God is in control and working out His purposes in the marketplace. Our role is to get in step with what He is doing.

Exodus 31:1-11 “And I have filled him with the Spirit of God, in wisdom, in understanding, in knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship to design artistic works, to work in gold, silver and bronze, in cutting of jewels…….”

Isaiah 28:23-29 “Does the ploughman keep ploughing all day to sow?……… This all comes from the Lord of hosts, who is wonderful in counsel and excellent in guidance.

It is important to remember that God (Holy Spirit) will only equip and empower us to do the work He has called us to do. You can do your own thing but then you do it in your own strength and knowledge and it has no eternal value whatsoever. You have been chosen by the FATHER, redeemed by the SON and sealed and empowered by the HOLY SPIRIT “for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them” Ephesians 2:10.

See that you walk circumspectly , not as fools but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is (for your life)” Ephesians 5:15-17.

“For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God” Romans 8:14.

Noah's Ark
Noah’s Ark

Johan Huibers built a full sized replica of Noah’s Ark: 130 metres long, 29 metres wide and 23 metres high. It is located in the town of Schagen in the Netherlands.

God has a plan and purpose for your life. The story of Noah and the Flood was an actual event in history a little over four thousand years ago. It reminds us that God is in control of history and we need to be obedient to HIS call on our lives.

Fruit bearing is all to do with GOD working through us and nothing to do with what we can do.
The fruit of the Holy Spirit is love, joy, peace, faith, gentleness, goodness, kindness and self control. Are these evident in your life? You can quench the work of the Holy Spirit in your life. You can grieve the Holy Spirit. He is the third person of the Trinity. Do you treat Him as a person?
The Lord has picked each one of us out, selected you and me, and by listening to and trusting the indwelling Holy Spirit we will produce good fruit in our lives and businesses. We will be successful on earth and reap eternal rewards in heaven as well. Got to be the only way to go.

DON’T PUT YOUR TRUST IN STUFF – money and possessions.

2 Corinth 9:8 ,
“And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that having all sufficiency in all things at all times you may abound in every good work.”
Matt 6:25-33,
“Therefore I tell you do not be anxious about your life, what you eat or what you will drink, nor about your body , what you will out on. Is not your life more than food, and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds of the air: they neither sew nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? And which of you being anxious can add a single hour to his span of life? And why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin, yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was arrayed like one of these. But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is alive and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? Therefore do not be anxious, saying, “What shall we eat?” or “What shall we drink?” or “What shall we wear?” For the gentiles seek after all these things , and your heavenly Father knows that you need them all. But seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things will be added to you.”
Phil 4:19.,
And my God will supply every need of yours according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.

Malachi 3:8-10,
“Will man rob God? Yet you are robbing me. But you say, “How have we robbed you?” In your tithes and contributions . You are cursed with a curse, for you are robbing me, the whole nation of you. Bring the full tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. And thereby put me to the test, says the Lord of hosts, if I will not open the windows of heaven for you and pour down for you a blessing until there is no need.”
2 Corinth 9:6-7,
“The point is this: whoever sows sparingly will reap sparingly, and whoever sows bountifully will also real bountifully. Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.

Psalm 35:27,
“Let those who delight in my righteousness shout for joy and be glad and say evermore, Great is the Lord, who delights in the welfare of his servant.”
Joshua 1:8,
“This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous , and then you will have good success.”
Psalm 1:1-3,
“Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the wicked, nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of scoffers: but his delight is in the law of the Lord, and on His law he meditates day and night.
He is like a tree planted by streams of water that yields its fruit in its season, and its leaf does not wither. In all that he does, he prospers.”
Haggai 2:15-19,
Although God’s people had planted their seeds, the day of harvest is still months away, and yet the Lord promises that an abundant harvest will in fact come. The work of the temple had been started again, giving evidence of the people’s renewed devotion to the Lord and their return to a God centred lifestyle.
2 Chronicles 7:13-14,
“When I shut up the heavens so that there is no rain, or command the locust to devour the land, or send pestilence among my people, if my people who are called by my name humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their evil ways , then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.”
Isaiah 48:17,
“Thus says the Lord, your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: I am the Lord your God, who teaches you to profit, who leads you in the way you should go.”
Proverbs 3:9-10, “Honour the Lord with your wealth and with the first fruits of all your produce; then your barns will be filled with plenty, and your vats will be bursting with wine.”
